A homeowner in Lansing, Michigan, suffered water damage in their entire basement due to a sump pump failure. The carpet, padding, contents, baseboards, insulation, and paneling were affected. The homeowner needed immediate assistance to help remediate the damage.
Camelot Emergency Water Removal Project Manager, Eric Steele, conducted a thorough inspection of the basement from the damage. He took moisture readings on all of the affected areas and communicated the scope of work to the homeowner. Once the process was communicated and agreed upon, the production team arrived. They began by removing damaged and damp materials & content. The damaged carpet and padding was removed and water extraction was performed. From there once the space was cleared, thorough clean-up and sanitation was conducted. Then drying equipment was set up to properly dry the basement and return it to a safe dry, condition.
